Watched a film I’d recorded but can’t delete it now and won’t let me watch anything else

Watched a recorded film but it won't delete off and get a message saying cannot be deleted right now as being watched! But it won't let me watch anything. I can get the menu but the screen goes blank when I press to watch a program!  It's a technical problem I believe but can't find an answer to rectify it

Restart your Sky Q by turning the power off & on, should sort it.

Are you trying to delete it having watched it from the Continue section? If so try to avoid that. Find it in the Most Recent section and try deleting it from there.

Already tried both. It was a technical fault and sky talked me through what to do . Had to reset and had to download 6 yrs worth of software updates! Works fine now.   Took hours though. Didn't realise about every 2 yrs you need to download updates!
