Waiting for tv schedule

Hi, does anyone have a long term solution to the there being no TV schedule, or the waiting for tv schedule message,I'm having to reboot my box multiple times a day sometimes and surley i shouldn't have to keep doing that surley, it comes back after rebooting then will go again , and have the waiting for schedule  message again sometimes an hour later , sometimes a day later,it's driving me crazy!! I had an engineer recently because of an issue with the mini box and I mentioned it, so he replaced the main box hoping that would help ,although he didnt seem to be very aware it was a common issue with others ,but it still doing it all the time, I've not renewed my contract unsure if to bother after 16 years, try maybe BT TV. Thanks, any suggestions very welcome.

Hi @Simkee8286 in the following order, try rebooting your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot, do the same with any Mini boxes?

Re: Waiting for tv schedule

I'm getting exactly the same issues and having to reboot my Sky Q box about once or twice a week...even had main  box and minibox changed but problem not gone away. .Many people have this problem but when I phone sky they don't seem to be aware of it.. SKY NEEDS TO SORT THIS OUT ONCE AND FOR ALL !!!!!! GET THIS ESCALATED.

Re: Waiting for tv schedule

Same problem, sick of rebooting everything repeatedly. Do sky look at the community messages as this seems quite common but they seem not to care.

Re: Waiting for tv schedule

Never had this issue untill i fixed another., and it's driving me nuts.

So i had the "can't find the skyq box" on both my mini boxes for about a year and the only non wired connection i had was my router to the main q box. Decided to run a cat7 cable from the router to my main q box. This fixed the initial issue but now for some reason i'm getting the TV schedule issue maybe once every two weeks.

Blowing my mind

Re: Waiting for tv schedule

Anything I do, nothing works, then to top it off apparently I've got wifi probelms and the Q box can't connect to my BT router so.then my.mini box doesnt work( that's not true , my Internet is  fine all my other devices have no problem) cancellation is the forward for me I think!!

Re: Waiting for tv schedule

Is SKY not responding to this issue? I have the same issue for months now - rebooting several times per week. If Sky is just ignoring it, then my time with Sky is nearing its end.

Re: Waiting for tv schedule

I'm just doing my weekly reboot at the moment.  I've contacted Sky via Twitter and they say there's no 'wider issue' causing this.

Re: Waiting for tv schedule

This has become a regular occurrence for me too, it's really hacking me off.

I've been a sky customer for decades, I'm really right on the verge of binning them.

I have this week in week out I'm having to reboot my main sky Q box every week which inturn messes with my sky Q mini box in our bedroom where the wife watches her programmes its  an absolute pain in the backside there is no solution to fix it you just  have to keep  rebooting it as advised by a sky consultant when I rang them waste of a phone call

Re: Waiting for tv schedule

Just something I noticed that this happens if any of the boxes are on standby setting 'none'. The tv schedule gets stuck and only comes back by power cycling the box. When I put them all back onto the same mode, in my case I used eco. Once I made this change and power cycled one more time on each box the issue never came back. Also check your storage isn't full, my boxes became very unresponsive when the memory was at anything over 80% full. Clearing up old recordings seems to get things running again for me.
Hope this helps.
