Sky Q box crashing after the Sky tv adver

I have tried the targeted adds solution and so far it's working ok ! 

Fingers xed it stays this way.

Bit of a bargaining tool for me now as I'm about to renew my Sky contract !

Sky Q freezing during adverts is a wider issue already being investigated by Sky.

the same for me over the last few days, but it was ONLY sky sports news sd, none of the other sky channels, and  not even while watching SSN on sports racing ... yeah a switching issue would cause this, the coding not locking in.  the second time it happened i said exactly this, a switching issue, and probably not realising it was to do with sky adsmart.

would be fascinating to see the glitch in action

Watching a programme,  adverts come on then it crashed. Had to turn everything off twice in a couple of days,  we are both disabled and it difficult keep getting on the floor to unplug and reboot system.  Checked online but says system is all OK. Well it's not all ok

Happened to me tonight absolute nightmare. For me I think it's something to do with the Animal Control advert which seems to just sit on screen at the end for ages before going back into  Sky One first time I saw it live tonight while waiting for Last Week Tonight to come on forvthe 2nd half and it justbfroze then turned everything off took forever to fix it.

Every time the boy as comes on our screen freezes. When we get away from the frozen as all channels show a blank blue screen. We keep having to unplug and reset.

It is the VOY ad that seems to cause the problem

Like many, my TV keeps crashing when LNER ad is on, any reason Sky don't remove it?

@Vbrown Unknown, but instead of persevering with AdSmart which doesn't benefit you when it works, why not just turn it off.

* Go to https://www.sky.com/mydetails/data-and-personalisation
* Scroll down to "Tailored TV Advertising"
* Turn it OFF
* Allow some hours/days for it to take affect
* This is a work-around, not a "fix"
