Volume won’t work on my Sky Q

Hi everyone 

I have looked at other discussions on this and followed the steps but the volume button will not work on the remote.

I have tried pressing 7&9 followed by 1&3 

then I tried 7&9 then 4&6 and then 1&3 

then says setup unsuccessful.

Hi @Lynn701   Do you have an obscure TV? What is its make and model number. I would carefully follow the set up instructions https://www.sky.com/help/articles/setting-up-q-remote

I have a Panasonic TV. The link you gave me I have done all that. It's just the volume tbat won't work.

It found the model number itself I think @MightyQuinn 

I had to get a new sky Q box today because my other one stopped working.

when we first set it up the option did come up to pair the remote. Now when we go on settings and remote control the option to pair isn't there. Just says point your sky Q remote at your box and together press and hold 1 and 3 together.

Hi @Lynn701   Try pairing through the menu. Home -> Settings-> Remote control. You may have to initialise it first, hold down 7 & 9 until the remote flashes four times. You need line of sight (no obstructions). Note the background should be blue, not grey. Make sure you use "I know it" to input your TV's model number.

I don't get the option of "I know it"

Hi @Lynn701   You must initialise the remote (7 & 9, 4 flashes) before each attempt. Failing that, power reboot the box.
