Viewing card not working

When I turn my TV and Sky box on it has a message saying "please ensure the correct viewing card is inserted with the chip facing up". 

 

It is, so I don't know what to do now.

 

A bit of background.  I cancelled my TV account a few months ago. Before my final month ended this message was coming up. I didn't do anything as I wasn't using sky so it didn't matter. I have since renewed my TV subscription (a week ago) but the message I'd still there and I've been told the account is back up and running

@Emma4381 was it Sky Q you cancelled? And did you return your Sky Q equipment at that time?

I did have sky Q but haven't renewed that part of it. Just got sky TV now. I've not sent the box back yet.

Are you using your Sky Q box to watch Sky tv? If not, what are you using?

Maybe I am using the Q box. I thought that was the box I had in the other room for the multi room (which I don't pay for any more). I'm using the normal sky box to watch TV so that possibly is the Q box?  Sorry, I have no idea about this sort of thing.
