Trying to upgrade software but version doesn’t change

a Sky adviser last week told me to update the software to try to fix a problem with my box dropping the WiFi connection, to my new EE router, it worked perfectly with the old BT one.

It reports that it is on q280.000.08.00L, but according to the Sky website it should be on

Q270.000.10.09PL, which is listed at

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-software-updates,

I've tried twice with no success,

any suddestions

Hi @jimmy+w

Q280........ is a later software version  and will not change during updating until any later version is available.

Re: Trying to upgrade software but version doesn’t change

Thanks, I was too busy looking at the minor rev level, back to why the Q box kept losing WiFi connectivity usually early morning

Re: Trying to upgrade software but version doesn’t change

If that is the latest version then why does the Setup say that there is a latest software available?

My Q mini is having all sorts of issues today!

hi @MarysLittleLamb

Unfortunately I think it is just bad design that the messages  always give the impression that a new version  of software is availble when you may already have it

I assume you mean "later"? Where does it say that?
