Temporary relocation
We are having work done that requires us to clear the room where our main Skyq box is for a period of between 7-19days. We also have a sky q mini box in another room. How can we temporarily relocate the main Skyq box so we can continue use Sky services during this time?

If you only intend to watch Sky TV on the mini box in the other room you can buy Satellite cable extension kit ( amazon-Coaxial-Cable-Connectors-Kit ) so the main sky Q box can be relocated to outside the room your having done up (but would mean having cables running through this room).
Otherwise you'll need to get either Sky or a local satellite installer to relocate the cables from the dish to another room

Re: Temporary relocation
Thanks for the swift reply I think we might try to leave it plugged in , in the room and figure out how best to protect it from dust etc without a risk of over heating. Any suggestions?

@HelenDun its fine to put the sky q box in a small cupboard like a bedside cabinet or another type of enclosure which we generally say leave at least about 6 inches of space around the box for circulation purposes.
