TV or Sky Box ?

Ok, I have a main Sky Box + 2 mini's all of which I can normally, whenever misbehaving due to internet connection or other technical difficulties, reboot & get them all to work. This technical issue baffles me, all box's are programmed on Preferences to 'None' The Mini downstairs feeds the Mini upstairs(upstairs Mini working perfectly), the downstairs Mini box however, whenever I turn the TV off losses Sky, the Sky box has the  green light, occasionally I can hear Sky in the background or not but always a blank screen(does not effect the box upstairs which feeds off it).... I have to reboot the mini box downstairs every morning. Phew!! Is it an old telly? I can't think it's the mini cos it's feeding  box upstairs. Main box is also working ok, it's just the bloody mini downstairs!!
