TNT Sports (signed up today) pixelated picture and sound

Signed up today for £31 a month to watch my team in Europe for the first time ever. Watching TNT 1 HD or 2 HD. Picture is pixelated every minute or so, both live and recorded. It's unwatchable. Checked my settings, I'm on wideband, house with no communal dish. Rebooted, no joy. All other channels and recordings are fine. If this isn't fixed, I want a refund.

Given no-one else has posted, the suspicion would be that's a reception issue, not source capture or transmission. If this is the case then Sky can attempt to resolve dish misalignment with an installer visit, but a refund wouldn't be appropriate.

Even if every other channel is fine, as are recordings? It's just TNT Sports that I signed up to today that is the issue. How can the dish be misaligned everything else is ok?

@DR2025UK

Reception issues caused by slight misalignment can be channel (or rather transponder) specific, and you presumably haven't viewed this particular one before to notice.

If social media isn't alive with complaints then either it's a local issue or no-one else is watching...

Oh, and the post from @stereohaven that with a TNT subscription you should be able to use the Discovery+ app to watch Sports content in a stream instead, assuming your address has sufficient broadband

Re: TNT Sports (signed up today) pixelated picture and sound

So my signal strength is 80 and the quality is 90. I appreciate your comments and help, and I realise I can watch on discovery plus, but I like to record sports if I'm out and about to watch later. There were quite a few people on here last year reporting the same issue, and using the App isn't really an answer to most.

Re: TNT Sports (signed up today) pixelated picture and sound

Bit of a further update. This is only happening on the HD versions of TNT Sports. I've watched the last 10+ minutes of SD and the problem hasn't shown itself once. Whereas on HD, it's every couple of minutes.

SD and HD are on different frequencies (and also HD is likely more susceptible due to higher bandwidth requirements)

signal quality and strength are for a specific freq, not TNT's.

get sky to check the dish.

Hi @DR2025UK   It is probably to late now, but I always watch TNT football on Discovery+ using my TV (UHD). I like the Key moments quick catch up on all matches.
