Storm Ewoyn

My sky q is showing the blue screen saying I'm not connected to the satellite. I've rebooted my sky box and WiFi and still nothing. We did have a realbad wind storm during the night. Buy I don't see anywhere that Sky are having connection issues. All my apps, Sky Go and my recordings are working just not the TV guide. I really need it back for Traitors tonight. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

@Juanita24  The reason you don't see anywhere that Sky are having an issue is simply because they are not, whats likely to have happened is your dish has moved due to the high winds, it certainly won;t be resolved tonight.

The satellite SKy use are functioning perfect 46,000 miles above the equator

Try the steps here https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-tv/sky-tv-q/fixing-sky-q/fixing-live-tv/no-satellite-signal/articl...

You may be able to book an engineer to sort out your dish but may be a week or more due to workloads.

@Juanita24

Are no seeing a no satellite signal message?

If you are check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Otherwise it’s very likely a dish misalignment so check the troubleshooting on this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish. If it doesn’t you’ll need to contact Sky to book an engineer appointment.

If you are connected to a communal dish you need to liaise directly with your building management company / landlord who will have their approved engineers to contact.

It’s worth noting that:

1 - a misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels and

2 - a Sky Q box requires a periodic 'Keep alive' signal that is delivered via the satellite so if that isn’t received the box will close down until the satellite signal is restored.

hi @Juanita24

Regarding the Traitors - assuming the box hasn;t missed a 'Keep alive signal and not shutdown then you should be able   to use iPlayer to watch (or via iplayer on the TV or other device)
