Re: Starlink and Sky Q
Hi
can anyone confirm starlink will work with sky glass
we are using. Airband but our local mast is down and they can't seem to fix it we have no fibre in the area so it's either airband or starlink

Probably best to ask in the Glass/Stream forum to see if anyone on it has experience.

Re: Starlink and Sky Q
@Godfrey The starlink was never perfect with sky downloads, and still occasionally threw the random download errors (likely due to the problems with their security implementation and geo fence that you mention - I had it down to the use of tcp/ip layer 3 security using MAC addressing to identify your box in the physical layer, and other services using much higher level packet security in the application layer, but that's mostly guesswork). It was a lot better with faster DNS though, and only errors maybe 1 in 5 or 6 times instead of half or more erroring).
Finally got FTTP and an opti link direct to my house now, so all working perfectly, and a half gigabit doesn't give it time to error on me 😁 - still use a nice quick and authoratative DNS though, as it saves the bounces to more authoritative DNS servers with the concomitant delays that causes.
