Sky q minibox

Hi I'm getting sky q installed next week.i do not have Internet.i know sky q box works off satellite  dish but have been reading the q mini box might not work.can it be  cabled to the main dish ?

I know I can't have on demand stuff with no internet .

Afraid a Sky Q mini will not function without an internet connection.
