Sky q Mini box

Sky Q 2TB Box Connected to Router by Enthernet and mini box Connected to Enthernet as it had issues staying Connected. Now I have purchased a 2nd Mini box for Bedroom but will not stay Connected to WiFi I have sky WiFi max hub and 1 pod and both boxs have 2.4ghz and 5ghz turned off. But new mini box  is on but will not stay Connected longest connection time less then 1 minute. Then same issues. Engineer booked but want to know if anyone else has manage to fix issue or just Enthernet 2nd mini box until Engineer visit. I had done everything so far that you would think that would work but nope no luck so far. Anyone know any ideas maybe I haven't thought about yet is much appreciated broadband speed 150MB

hi @Mr+C+Wren

Unfortunately, I believe,  the SKY Wifi Max hubs are treated like 3rd party wifi and thus the minis won't connect to your home wifi but instead rely on a wifi signal generated by the SKY Q main box.

Thus you will need to turn the wifi on, on the main box and if the new mini is too far from that but nearer the 1st mini,  on the mini as well (I think you only need the 5GHz)

Alternatively if you can connect the 2nd mini via ethernet also.

Hi @Netty+radfrd   I am sure that is possible, but only if you contact Sky first.
