A Max Hub and its pods don't participate in the 'Q Mesh' : by itself the Max Hub can supply the main Q box with an internet connection just as any other router would.

I've never had multi-room with Q but do the mini boxes still connect with the main box or directly with the Max Hub router via the pod/booster?

I read the OP's post as saying it doesn't connect with a 2nd box upstairs?

As indicated by @TimmyBGood  the SKY Max system is effectively treated as '3rd party wifi' by SKY Q  -  so the SKY Q minis do not connect to it & thus use the wifi generated by the Main Box

Hub to main Q box, then main Q box to Mini boxes.

The 2016 Q Hub and 2019 Broadband Hub models are 'Sky' products built using the same proprietary mesh technology as Q television boxes (also released in 2016) : the 2023 Max Hub is a Comcast product.

Cheers. So if I'm correct about @gunners33 having issues connecting to a mini box, the Max will make no difference?
