We were recently given a sky glass tv. We have a sky q subscription with one multi room so just connected the glass tv to the main sky q box via the hdmi cable, as previously. Apart from occasionally only having sound when turning on (but fine after turning off and on again) this works ok.
however the multi room box is now not working properly, dropping out with the sky error message 'you can't currently watch this tv as there is an issue with the connection between the mini box and your sky q box' It might happen once, then work fine for the rest of the evening after taking the cables out and plugging in again, or it might drop out a dozen times in half an hour. There is nothing wrong with our broadband and there were no changes to the multi room box or tv.
I don't understand why the new glass tv, attached to the main sky q box and just being used as a smart/dumb tv, is disrupting the multi room box/tv connection , or the connection between the sky q box and the multiroom box. What do I do to resolve? Please help! Thank you
