It doesn't 'expire'. The discounts simply drop off and it continues on a monthly rolling basis at full price (unless you agree a new minimum term to get discounts back again - usually 18 months).
If you are 'out of contract' then you can give 31 days notice to cancel. (Or 31 days before any minimum term ends)
