Sky Q not working

Hi, 

We hav had issues for most of the times with either Q box or the remotes. Somehow we have managed to reset them and get them working.

This week im afraid none of them are working, tried everything possible and still no luck.I have emailed Sky about it and no reply, tried to call with no joy...any help would be appreciated

Hi @MHR11 

First try rebooting your Q box as follows.

To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

 

If you had to use the button on the front of the Q box to turn it on:

Try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

 

You mentioned remotes in the plural.

You can only pair one Bluetooth remote at a time to a Q box.

You can also use infrared remotes with any Q box.

Infrared remotes do not pair to the Q box only the TV.

@MHR11  Also note that Sky do not use email as a method of communicating with them so unfortunately you won't get any reply to any emails.
