Sky Q multiroom not working

Hi
My Sky Q multiroom box is no longer working, it just shows an accessibility screen and nothing can be done it's just frozen I cannot choose any options. I have rebooted the box multiple times and pressed the reset button, still not working.

I have done the following to try and rectify the issue:

1) Rebooted the Sky Q box, which is working fine.
2) Rebooted the Sky WiFi extender box, this shows a Power Light, Wifi Light, But no Connection Light.
3) Rebooted the Multiroom box and pressed the reset button, completely powered down the unit and still not connecting.

Summery either the wifi extender is at fault or the multiroom box is at fault, home wifi connection speed is1Gig and is working fine.

hi @GSimon850

This message seems to have caused a bit of a quirk so try this:

Press & hold 4 & 6 on the remote to set to Infrared only (so must have line of sight of the box)
Hopefully you can then dismiss the message

Then try re-pairing in bluetooth mode with the box by pressing & holding 1 & 3 together

If this does not work try a full remote reset by pressing & holdng 7 & 9 until the red led above the SKY logo button flashes 4 times

Then try the 1&3 to re-pair & pair with the TV

Re: Sky Q multiroom not working

Hi
Thanks for getting back to me.
I have managed to get the remote working after pressing 4&6 next stage (2) press and hold the connection button with two arrows on the multibox.
This takes some time an comes back with a connection error, tried twice and still will not connect.
Checked the Sky Wifi extender and still no connection LED lit.
Many thanks

I had a similar issue. Pairing Bluetooth worked. Mini q box on a new (changed) broadband network

Re: Sky Q multiroom not working

The issue I have is the Sky Q Wifi booster is not showing a connection light are you saying this is normal because I tried to connecting the Multiroom box and this cannot find a connection, My Network at home has not changed and I have not introduced any other gadgets that could block the signal.

Re: Sky Q multiroom not working

Erm, sorry. your initial post seemed similar to an issue i experienced on Saturday. The mini Q box started but because the remote was not paired it looked like the mini q was frozen. But after I re-paired the remote to the box I could get the mini Q to pass the accessibility option. I could then use the quick connector button and finish the setup. Probably not what you are now describing.

@GSimon850 it sounds like the Sky booster has lost connection completly.

If Sky is your broadband provider then the booster will need to be re-connected to either the router or the main box(which ever is closest to the mini box) by way of pressing the WPS button on the booster and the main Q box or the router which ever you are trying to connect to

If Sky is not your broadband provider

The booster will only connect to your main box so again you need to press the WPS button on both the main box and the booster
