Sky Q mini on ethernet via switch
I'm looking to put a sky Q mini box in a summerhouse/office at the end of my garden but the wifi signal is very poor that far from the house. I understand that (as I have a 'third party' router) I can hard wire an ethernet cable from the main box to my router and then another from the router to the mini box). However, I also want to fit an access point in my summerhouse for wifi but don't want to run two ethernet cables from the house.
If I connect my main sky Q box to my router via an ethernet cable and then I run a single ethernet cable to my summerhouse and connect it to an ethernet switch that then has the mini Q box and an access point attached will this give me both a working sky mini Q box plus wifi from the access point for other devices in my summerhouse?

Re: Sky Q mini on ethernet via switch
Hi. Should be fine, I had a switch out the back of Q hard wiring to the minis. Make sure you go into the advanced settings and turn off wifi on mini though.
