Sky Q mini box x3

Hi , i recently had to upgrade to a 2TB Sky Q main box so I was able to stream all 3 of my Sky Q mini boxes .. (or so I was told 🙄) ... I still have the same problem ! .. I can only have 2 mini boxes on at once , it says I have reached the maximum amount allowed and it won't let me view anything on my 3rd box 😐 .. Am I missing something here ?? .. slowly losing the will !

You can have a maximum of 4 mini boxes loaned to you by Sky. You can watch Sky content on two minis and the main box at the same time. You may be able to use a third mini box if the first one in use is being used for a streaming app ie: Netflix or DIsney+. It’s worth mentioning that UHD content can’t be viewed on a mini box.

Be aware the original 1TB (non-UHD) Sky Q box only allows one mini to be in use. To check if you have the non UHD 1TB box check in:-
Home - Settings - System Info - Hardware Version
If it shows as 32Cxxx then you have a non UHD 1TB that only supports 1 active mini box.

All 2TBs and the UHD/HDR 1TB permit two mini boxes. Each mini box which is loaned to you may be subject to a one off upfront charge but you only need one Sky Q monthly Multiscreen subscription.

Hi Daniel 

Thank you for that information. I just read there that you can watch all 3 mini boxes simultaneously if the main box tv is off. It's definitely the 2TB box i have. I suppose I'll just have to stick with Netflix at bedtime then when the kids have their tv's on (age 16 and 22)

Unfortunately the limit, as detailed by @Daniel0210  is two (for SKY Content)

As @Daniel0210 also mentioned you may be able to use 3 if the 1st one in use is only being used for streaming apps like Netflix, Disney, etc

The limit does not change whether the main box is on or not.
