Hi, I used to have Sky Broadband router but now am back with BT. Have been with BT for last 18months. I have 4 Sky q mini boxes (know I can only use 2 at a time). System went down overnight and I rebooted router. Two boxes connected fine two did not. The two that did not I noticed were trying to connect to a Sky router, which I assume was my old Sky router. How do I remove this from the memory of the Sky Q mini box so it only had my BT router and therefore connect automatically during a reboot.

Hi @GaryGunner
If you are looking at the SSID in the Networks settings on the mini then this normally refers to a Sky Q WiFi mesh which comes from all connected Q boxes.
On the two boxes that did not connect try a Network reset.
Network Reset found in mini box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your main Q box or another connected mini if nearer.

As the minis connect to a wifi generated by your Main box, if you haven't already done so I suggest trying a power down restart of you main box & then the same on your minis

Hi oldfella,
I have done all the things you suggest before. I now have the 2 mini boxes that did not connect automatically connected. What I want to know is how do I delete the reference to my old sky router so that these two mini boxes will connect automatically in future. Is there a setting on the main Sky Q box that I need to change to remove the reference to the Sky router?

Hi @GaryGunner
It's not the reference to a Sky Router you can see; It's a Sky Mesh network generated by the Q boxes.
A Network reset will forget previous connections but the Boxes will still show a Sky SSID

Thanks. Does not really explain why 2 connected automatically and the other 2 did not. This was after I rebooted router and main Sky Q box. But all connected now anyway. If same thing happens next time I will raise another query. Enjoy your weekend.
