Sky Q mini box - Different networks

Hi,

Does my Sky Q mini box need to be on the same network at my main Q box? I'm trying to set up Sky & broadband in two households and I'm unsure if the multi room package will work.

Thanks

Yes it does, both technically and to be compliant with the contract T&Cs.

@Ashley1 If you mean can you have your Sky Q Main Box in one house and the Sky Q Mini Box in a different house, no you can't.

Hi @oj01, yes that is what I meant, thank you for confirming

Sky sold me the mutli room option and I had a feeling this wouldn't work

Thanks

Multiscreen is supplied in anticipation of a 'normal' domestic single-household internet/network setup: splitting a Mini from its main box isn't possible under the terms of the subscription and so has never been supported technically.
