Sky Q box loses connection multiple times a day

This started about 6 months ago and the box loses internet connectivity multiple times a day. There is nothing wrong with our Virgin media broadband strength (it stretches to the end of a long garden), everything else in the house is connected etc, so it is obviously a SKY box issue. The box is in the same place it's always been, a couple of doors away from the broadband and in a normal location (under the TV). If I put the password in again, it usually connects for a few hours.

Gardens have no walls so the range is less relevant there. 2 rooms indoors can be more of a challenge.

Try splitting the 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSIDs to 2 different names and just connecting the Q to the 2.4 (which is all it can use) - or see if Sky will install a Q booster, wired into the VM router.

Thank you, I'll try that. I believe I do already have it split but will check, as the ring doorbell needs to be on 2.4ghz

Hi, I came online as having the same issue. However my sky q box and modem are in the same room. It drops in and out multiple times a day and watching anything on demand is impossible. Any ideas please?
