Sky Q box intermittent network dropouts
For the last three weeks our sky Q box has started to loose its network connection. Sometimes for seconds, today despite showing as connected to WiFi in settings the moment we go back to Apps it shows as "looks like your not connected"
Other devices are using WiFi and connection and speed are good.
The box and the router haven't been moved and we've not seen this before.
I have run through the steps and guides on the website but nothing has identified or fixed the cause.

Re: Sky Q box intermittent network dropouts
A few things to try, you may have done some:
I'd suggest fully rebooting both the router and the Sky Q main box.
Unplug both of them, same time, from the wall for at least 30 seconds.
Plug back in the router only, get it up and running, and run a speed test on your mobile. Now plug back in the Sky Q box, go to settings, and reset the network settings section. Then scan for your router, add in your password, and hopefully, you're back up and running.
Software Update:
Go to Settings, then System Info, and highlight Software version.
Choose Setup and then select Software download.
Your box will start to download the latest software. This can take up to 10 minutes.
To check the status of the software download, go to Settings, then System info, and highlight Software version.
When it says "Software update successful" press the Standby button on your remote.
When your box restarts, follow the on-screen messages. You'll then be on the latest software version.
Check your standby settings:
Press Home on your Sky Q remote and select Settings > Setup > Preferences > Standby mode, and select the setting you want. I personally have all my boxes set to NONE.
Good luck.

Re: Sky Q box intermittent network dropouts
Thanks for the suggestions.
I was unaware of the software update option so I will give that a go first.
Restarting the box has worked, but some of the dropped periods have been very short so I can't tell if the restart was better than waiting. Certainly it doesn't prevent the issue from reoccurring.
I have also restarted the router but I am not convinced that is where the issue is as other devices were connected at the same time with no disruption.
Cheers

Re: Sky Q box intermittent network dropouts
So I have followed the suggestions but the intermittent drop outs continue.
