Sky Q Remote

Good morning,

Have just turned the Sky Q box on in the lounge. Have then noticed the sky mini in the next room also switched on. It would appear both remote controls (Sky Q and the mini remotes) will control both boxes.

Is there anyway to separate them so they don't control each other. Annoying to say the least !

Have tried repairing them both but still doing it.

Any help greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hi @Huddo460

If they are Bluetooth remotes (ie with microphone for Voice control) then if they are correctly paired to their boxes they should not operate any other boxes.  They may work TV sets of the same brand asTV's work by infrared which is not paired to a TVset (but just set up to operate the brand of TV).

Try completly resetting your Bluetooth remotes.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at its Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

Re: Sky Q Remote

They are the IR ones (not the touch control one)

I have repaired them to the relevant boxes but they continue to control both the box they were paired with and the other one ! It is as if they are both on the same frequency, anyone know how to change that ?

Thank you
