Sky Q Recordings

Under the Recordimgs section.

I of  course understand the sections Most Recent, Scheduled, Purchases, Rentals, Manage.

However what is the point of and the need for the two sections, Comtinue, Sort By.

Hi @middlesex1993

They just provide options for people that might require them.

If you don't need these options doesn't mean that nobody else doesn't need them.

Thank you for your reply,

I simply do not understand what is the purpose of Continue and Sort By and the options they are meant to provide.

Most Recent. Lists all your recordings. Scheduled. Lists  all the programmes you have chosen to record for the next week.

Purchases and Rentals are self explanatory. Manage gives you important and useful information.

I do not understand what is the purpose of Continue and Sort By

hi @middlesex1993

Like a few things on SKY Q there are some options that some people never or rarely use whilst others may find them either occasionally or often useful.

I think the continue section is great in theory, if only it was reliable, which unfortunately most of us find it is far from so.  When it works it can be a much quicker way of picking up a recording that is part watched - unfortunately, as I say, I often find it points to episodes I have already fully watched or to the next episode when I have not finished the one I was watching  & a few other quirks.

The continue section lists most recently watched -- which could be recordings actually made a long time ago and at the bottom of the 'Most Recent'

For those of us with lots of recordings, the Sort By can be a quicker method than the Most Recent - I,  sometimes, use the A-Z in particular rather than trying to find a recording listed by by the most recent date (which can be affected by other episodes)

The A-Z list in the Sort By also has the advantage of it still has a 'white spot' marker to indicate there is an unwatched episode/recording.
