I'm guessing the answer will be No but I'm going to ask the qusetion anyway.
Is there a low cost / free Sky Q multiroom option that restricts viewing to only the same channel as the main box?
With the older HD+ boxes there was the abiltiy to view the same channel as the main box in another room by using a 2nd coaxial output from the main box. Ok this required a long cable between the rooms but it worked. I'm considering Sky Q but I don't need the ability to watch different channels in different rooms but I would like to have the ability to watch the same channel as my main box in a different room. I understand that the new system is a streaming format but was wondering if there's a software option that restricts the mini boxes to one channel. In simplistic terms £15/month seems excessive when I'll be watching sky either downstairs or upstairs but not different channels at different times.
Hopefully this makes sense and as I said before I'm guessing it's not available albeit you never know.
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Captain+Haddock I'm afraid there is only one price for multiroom and that will mirror your existing subs on the main box, if you're outside of a previous deal perhaps this is the time to contact sky to negotiate a new o ne.
You will need to call Sky or use the following link https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave
On the link provided (In the UK) it should include a Message Us option between 0900-1930.
You can also call on 150 from a Sky Mobile or Sky Talk line
If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:
(UK) https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number
(ROI) on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.
Stay on the line and don’t hang up if prompted to. Apparently the quieter times to ring are just after 7am or about 9pm.
If you don't see the Contact options on the link above make sure java script is enabled on your browser.
