Sky Q Mini UHD

Hello, ive just been on a sky live chat and was asking about a Sky Q Mini UHD box. I was told that the backroom staff are working on it. I was wondering if anyone knew this was true or when it could be available?  Thanks 👍🏻

Hi @nkelly0   The Sky Q Mini doesn't have the hardware to support UHD. Never believe anything an "advisor " tells you. Happy to be proved wrong.

Then they've been remarkably unproductive...

It's fairly safe to predict that Q will never have UHD Mini boxes: it's a nine year old platform with a limited remaining lifespan, and was designed long before Sky Group was purchased by the Comcast Corporation.

Glass and Stream are Comcast products with ubiquitous UHD capability, and are intended to continue after satellite broadcasting ceases somewhere around the turn of the decade.
