When set to Active standby, Q boxes switch automatically to standby after a period of inactivity. Standby light turns from green to amber.
This coincidentally could be when you are noticing it switching.
In Eco standby the boxes switch to power saving standby between 2:30am and 5:45am. Standby light turns red.
All Q boxes are best kept in the same standby mode.
If you use Standby mode None then the Q boxes will remain permanently on with green led. They sold be manually put into standby with the remote when not in use so that led is amber.
