After a violent thunderstorm the other day my sky q mini box appears completely dead. There are no lights on it whatsoever. I have tried unplugging it and reconnecting it but there is no life at all. The main box is fine. By coincidence I have also lost the power to my landlines - the base unti has no power.

Presumably a power surge rather than a coincidence. If you know the socket is working then it's time to call Sky to get the Mini swapped out.

Someone else reported lines were 'down' due to training. Try later perhaps...

Apparently their phone lines are currently closed whilst they are all training!
