Sky Q Box Showing Black Screen – How to Fix?

Hi Everyone,

 

Iqm having an issue where my Sky Q box turns on, but all I see is a black screen on my TV. There is no error message, and the box's light is on, but I cannot access the menu or any channels.

 

I have already tried basic troubleshooting like restarting the box, checking HDMI connections, and even switching to a different TV input, but nothing seems to work.

 

 

I'm using Sky Q 1TB Box and my Sky Q box is Panasonic TX-55HZ1000. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a fix for this, or do I need to contact Sky support?

Sounds like you Sky Q box has become stuck in standby mode. It happens sometimes.

 

Follow the advice here, namely the recovery mode on step 2

Unplug the box & leave it a few minutes then reconnect.

Have you also tried moving the cable to a different HDMI input? Or a different HDMI cable?
