Sky Go App Does Not Send Record Requests To SkyQ Box

Whilst using Sky Go on my tablet or Samsung phone any record request I send to my SkyQ box does not work.

However, the record symbol is shown on the Sky Go TV guide. There is a tick in the settings on my Sky Go app "connect to Sky Q box" which should mean that record requests should be transferred to my SkyQ box but they are not, although a message request says has been sent.

 

I would be interested if anyone has got this feature working.

Have you had any replacement viewing card recently and does the correct card show on your account ?

I don't have Sky Go Extra or Multiscreen just Sky Go and a SkyQ box. I only want to send record requests to my SkyQ box from my Sky Go App on my phone or tablet. If someone knows if I am missing something please let me know. Cheers.

That doesn't actually mean that as this is for customers who have multiscreen so they can connect the Sky Go app to their Sky Q box so they can access their recordings.

 

You didn't answer my question about your viewing card, is the correct one shown on your account ?

The viewing card number is correct, but looking at my SkyQ box settings under "Status" is a "Watch via Sky Go" which says it needs Reactivation. However, if I try to activate, it says you will need a broadband connection to watch TV from my SkyQ box (which I have).

I have tried to reactivate but my SkyQ box fails to change the setting, no error is shown.

Endless someone can tell me what I am missing to make the change I will just give up. I probably need Multiscreen or something like that to get it to work. Thanks to all who have helped so far.
