Setting up box
Hello, i ordered sky yesterday. I booked for an engineer to install, but i just wondered if i could do it myself? Im moving from virgin to sky. Or is it wires etc.
Also my box is due to be delivered today, am i able to plug that all in today and use the tv or do i need to wait for the broadband box? Im just looking to speed up the process if possible. thank you

Re: Setting up box
The engineer will bring the Sky Q box, any ordered mini boxes, remotes, cables and a dish with them on the installation date. A broadband router is usually dispatched to arrive a day or two before the Broadband is activated.

Lucky you! I've got two deliveries from Sky but NO mention of an engineer or any other help related to the projected transfer to Sky on Monday

@Carole34 what Sky system are you subscribing to is it Sky Q or Sky Stream Sky Q use a satellite signal to watch TV Sky Stream uses your broadband to watch TV
Sky Q if you have never had it before needs an engineer to install a satellite dish/upgrade an existing dish. If you have previously subscribed to Sky Q they may send the boxes out and you can connect them yourself
Sky Stream is a plug and play system where you set it up yourself
I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer
