How can I reduce my sky bill ? Can I cancel the £49 box set cost ? Will I still get sky channels if do this ?

If you're subscribed to the legacy Box Sets package, you're paying way over the odds. Best thing to do is call Sky and switch to the current Signature package which will cost less. You'll be starting a new 18 months contract if you switch.
