Samsung 2025 TV remote programing
Hi
Ive just purchased a new Samsung QE75Q7F2A 2025 TV and im struggling to program the Samsung remote that comes with the Tv to control the Sky Q box.
Ive gone through the menu in the TV where it tries to find and program it to work, it prompts you to push up chanel using the samsung remote to see if it alters and controls the sky box which it doesnt.
You can program it manualy but its asking for the make of the Sky Q box but to my knowledge i dont think thers anything on it.
Can anyone help or know who actually manufactures them ?
Just to add i have a slighly older Samsung Tv with the same remote but operating a sky Q mini box and that works fine with out any issues, i dont remember having any issues when that was setup so it must have recognised the mini box fine
Hope that makes sense
Any help is apreciated
Jason

Re: Samsung 2025 TV remote programing
Hello!
Based on your experience, the issue with your new Samsung TV remote not controlling your Sky Q box is likely a setup or compatibility glitch, especially since it works with your older TV. The Sky Q box doesn't have a simple manufacturer name for manual setup, as it's a proprietary product from Sky. To fix this, first, ensure your TV has the latest firmware. Then, try a complete restart: unplug the Sky Q box for a minute, then plug it back in. Once it's fully on and showing a live channel, re-run the TV's universal remote setup. Also, check that HDMI-CEC (called Anynet+ on Samsung TVs) is enabled in your TV's settings, as this feature often handles remote control commands automatically.
