SKY Q box constantly locking

Hi, really struggling with Sky Q box constantly locking up. Have the orange light on it but will not turn on. Unplug the power and it comes on. This is now becoming a real pain and requires hard reboot nearly everytime it is turned on

Hi sky. I'm 48!!! Couldn't care less about receiving a bloody badge and no interest in collecting anymore . It would be great if I could actually speak to someone about the issue we are having with the Sky Q box

You can try a settings reset first:

 

To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
If you cannot switch the Q box on with the remote after the Reset press the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the box.
To re pair the remote press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.

Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.

Resetting the settings will also reset:

Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control
Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, include LNB type. If on a communal dish you need to reset the LNB to SCR in the hidden menu. After changing the LNB type you need to reboot the Q box.

Thank you. I just get keep getting directed here so gave it a go. Got a number which I rang for them. Obviously can't speak to anyone anymore. So got sent a text to this group which said could get an amazing ai can't remember the fancy of this person. But thank you I'll give it a go. I'm sure someone will answer when I get that fed up

ill just cancel and go down the route of everybody else. They will all of a sudden have someone available no doubt. But thanks anyway

If you want to cancel you'll have to contact them.  Do not be tempted to withhold payment.

Thanks, but I won't be paying for a service that have to pull the table out a couple of times a day to reboot it

It's up to you but withholding payment won't work out the way you hope...
