Returning sky Q equipment

Hi,

I been told I need to return my sky equipment as I currently don't have address (staying with parents for now). I've been with sky for about 16 years and I've never returned any equipment.

My problem I have is I paid £100 extra for upgraded box and £50 one off fee for sky q mini. If I return these, it would mean I have to payout again.

I can't find anything about paying extra and keeping the equipment (once I have address I be going back to current subscription). It don't seem fair if you had to pay extra and send it back you don't get refund on it as they say its a loan.

All Sky Q boxes and mini boxes are loaned to you for the duration of your subscription and then have to be returned. You agreed to this in the T's & C's.

Yes, but it don't say if you had to pay towards the upgraded boxes. You have to send back free boxes that you don't pay for, but if you paid its a different story.

hi @Tinklebell

I do think it is unfortunate that SKY don't have the ability to pause a subscription and allow customers to keep the kit during the 'pause' but 1) their systems just don't cater for it & 2) I guess, if they did  it could be fraudulently used by some.

I would like to think that when  you do return that the fact your account will show you paid for an upgraded box that you would manage to get a similar box without any further upgrade fee.

Unfortunately I don't think this would hold for the admin fees for minis - although you could always try
