Retain PIN to allow easy channel hopping

I don't mind having to enter my PIN when I visit a channel showing post-watershed content but why can't Sky Q retain that PIN for a few minutes so I don't have to keep re-entering it when I flick through channels - maybe clear it if you haven't changed channels for 30 seconds?

Yes, it's annoying but unlikely to change.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

@Andrew+G+Brown

Presumably Sky believe that would not be in compliance with the requirement for Mandatory Daytime Protection.

Just change your PIN to something simple like '1111'

Re: Retain PIN to allow easy channel hopping

Even with the simplest of PINs, you still have to keep re-entering it

I agree, but unless we voice our annoyances* nothing will ever change

* I am annoyed that we lost slow motion and bookmarking - we need to voice our likes as well as annoyances before Skyt changes these thinsg for the worse - we're paying them enough

As useful as they were/are on Sky+ they've never been on Sky Q and after about 7 years it's extremely unlikely they will be added now.

@Andrew+G+Brown but the Mandatory Daytime Protection regulations are nothing to do with Sky they are government legislation that although may be outdated to some extent can only be changed by lobbying you MP

Each time you hit a channel carrying post-watershed content during pre-watershed hours, yes, but those should just be Sky Atlantic, Comedy and Documentaries (sometimes) plus most of the Sky Cinema channels if you have that subscription.

The inconvenience of PIN entry should be considered in proportion to the much wider range of broadcast content it enables.
