Reset sky Q now no satellite signal

Hi All,

Need some help please. Disney was showing a blank screen on some movies.

I read in another discussion that if you reset it it works.

I tried that and now have no satellite signal. Can anyone help?

Just switched on and No satellite signal showing on the prohram guide. On demand working but the Sky dish isn't receiving anything. Stockport, 11:05

Do you have your own dish or a communal system ?

If a communal system and reset your box the chances are that the LNB type is set incorrectly

You need to check/change the LNB type to SCR - this is in an engineer's menu

To access it :

press Home
Scroll to Settings - but do not press enter/select at this point
Press 0 0 1 in sequence followed by the Enter/ select button
you should now get the engineer's menu

Select the LNB Type & set to SCR if necessary

After changing the LNB type power down your SKY Q box and restart it for the change to come into effect

Is there snow or heavy rain in your area as that can also affect satellite signals.

The weather is pretty bad, cloud & rain, but I went through the power off and unplug routinf & it is OK now. Strange that the Q box could get itself into such an non-working state while sitting doing nothing overnight
