Repeating update

Hi

I have sky Q. My box seems to update itself around 3AM every morning but my software version (Q350) hasn't changed since I got the box 3 months ago. Why is this? If it keeps reinstalling the same one, can I turn it off at the mains overnight? Will there be another update soon? How can I find out?

The box will be going into Eco Mode which runs from 02:45-05:45. It's not a software update but just a way to save power overnight when most people are unlikely to be watching TV. You can disable this in the Settings (Home > Settings > Setup > Preferences > Standby Mode) if it's bothering you in some way.

There are software updates about 3 or 4 times per year and these are also sent out overnight so it's recommended to leave your box on at the mains.
