Remote not working

My sky Q remote stopped working, I have now twice called the number I have been given and twice when the ai assistant booked me a new remote to come I have received a text half an hour later that they have been unable to process my request for a replacement remote. They then give me the number again that I called to get the replacement remote in the first place.

 

can anyone give me a number so I can get in touch with a human to find out what the issue is? Every time I call the ai assistant it ends the same way with me not getting a replacement remote and I want to know the reason why.

After checking the basics, ie; fresh batteries, re-pairing etc if your Sky Q remote is definitely broken/faulty, if you follow this link it should allow you to do some more troubleshooting and then it’ll send you to a form to request a replacement (I’m not sure if this is available to customers in the Republic of Ireland).

It may be quicker to purchase a new remote from a retailer / larger supermarket. If you do that as well as the above you’ll have a spare.

Hi @Smash 

With the Q box on with green led try completly resetting the Bluetooth remote you have.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

If you need to contact them you need to persevere by phone.
