Recent outages and getting a refund

As nearly  everybody with a  Sky Q box  knows , there has been problems with a recent update to the sky q box that caused them to drop out . Throughout the evening of 15th may I was enjoying watching sky when the box dropped out and went the a black screen,  nothing I did would make it work except turning it off , then back  on, on the wall .

This would allow  the box to work for a half hr then it would happen again...... this must of happened at least 6 times through the evening. 

A few days later I read that sky had been having  outage problems  due to a sky q update  which they have since , hopefully sorted out. 

I now heard that sky is issuing refunds to anybody affected !!!!!!!!. Does anybody know how to go about this ????

No blanket refund - as posted, the 'free' film offer.

 

However, there's nothing stopping you asking Sky to consider your specific case.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
