Problems with SkyQ Mini Box

Hi

We have 3 Mini boxes along with the main SkyQ box and all has worked fine for two years. But recently when we turn on the one in the kitchen there is no TV picture and just a screen the bottom of which shows MR104 code.

We reset/reconnect to the main Sky box and all is fine...until the next time and this is now happening most days, at least 5 times a week.

The other day I rang Sky and got through to a nice guy who talked me through everything including a reset of the router, and fiddling with the settings on the mini box and the main Sky box, and various other things but it took 2 hours till I was losing the will to live. Shortly after we'd finished, guess what...same old problem yet again. And it happened again this morning. It's only this one box - we don't have any problems with other boxes which are in theory further from the router.

Any thoughts from anyone who has been through this?

Will just replacing the mini box in the kitchen fix this?

@WH67  If the other boxes are working fine it sounds like a connection problem between the main box and the mini.  Distance from the router doesnt really matter, it is down to what type of walls the signal has to go through etc.  You may need to speak to sky about a q booster.  One question is you mention you have 3 minis.  Q allows up to 4 but only 2 can be on and in use at once.  Is at least one of the others off/in stand by?

@WH67 I'd try swapping the mini box in the kitchen with one of the others that is working if you still get the same problem in the kitchen location then its a signal problem to the mini box, if the mini box from the kitchen still has problems in its new location and the one it was swapped with is fine in the kitchen then its a good chance its the mini box that is faulty
