Sky Q box hard drive failed. New Sky Q box delivered today and connected by me. Got help on the phone to set up. Tonight my wife wanted to use Sky Go on her tablet whilst she had a bath. Wouldn't connect. Tried my tablet got the same message - 'There was a problem playing this content, please try again. Error [2004]'. I then tried the mini box and thats not working. Message we get is 'Please check your subscription entitles you to view this channel on this box. Otherwise, if you're using this box for the first time, please wait for a few minutes'. Waited over 10 minutes. Now been trying on and off since 20.00.
Reset Hub, Sky Q box and Mini box with no success. Add that there is no-one we can talk to and I'm getting more and more frustrated with Sky. Not that that will bother them just as long as I'm paying for the service. Sky customer for 24 years!

First check that the main Q box is on the latest software.
See following links for latest Software versions and how to update Q software
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-software-updates
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/updating-sky-box-software
However bear if mind that when you select Setup (in Setting - System info - Software version) the message received will always be update this box with the latest software even if the box is already on the latest version.
Updating when already on the latest version achieves nothing and the box software is not refreshed.
All Q boxes and minis should be on the same software version.
Once you are happy that all box software is up to date check the following in the main Q box Home menu .
Home - Settings - Status.
Check that Watch on Sky Go and Watch on Sky Q mini box both have ticks
