Pixelation

I have two televisions, the one connected to the misn Sky Q box is ok.I had the Engineer fit an Ethernet cable to my mini Sky box as I was having pixelation intermittently when my system was installed.l am getting pixelation problems more often now and not sure if a new mini box is needed or an Engineer visit. If it was a weak signal from the dish then it would affect my main Sky Q box, don't know what to think?

hi @Animal+78

Who is your Broadband supplier and to what is the mini Ethernet connected?

Re: Pixelation

Don't really have a solution for this but I have had pixelation problems with both my mini boxes which are connected via wireless (also have Sky Broadband) since I got them in 2020. I'm assuming everyone has pixelation issues from time to time on mini boxes and never any problems on the main box based on what I've seen on these forums previoulsy. I just live with it now although it is annoying.

I would say my pixelation issues have become more frequent in the last couple of weeks which would seem to correspond with updating to Q250.

OK @Animal+78

Have you turned off the WiFi on the mini?

Re: Pixelation

Hi all,Thankyou for the feedback.

not really happy about living with the pixelation.🙄

I would like to find the strength of signal, the old Sky boxes had a useful addition for checking this, can't find anything on the new Sky Q box with this function,is there one?

Any useful tips most appreciated.

Re: Pixelation

I don't know if the WiFi is turned off, where would I look to find this please?

The Sky engineer carried out the work of running a Ethernet cable from Sky main box to Sky mini box,so I assume it should be done ok.
