Paramount + problem accessing free subscription

I've logged into my Sky account which says that my Paramount + subscription is linked. When I open the Paramount + app on the TV screen , I can log in to my account. But the only option is Get Paramount + or sign out. If I select Get Paramount + it just brings up the QR code page. Or I have to choose a subscription and pay. Im getting frustrated. Help!!!
