Lots of recordings have failed due to bad signalmor power cut but not the case? Some channels (especially sky sports) have an interrupted screen that freezes and pixilates. We now cannot get any channels at all despite rebooting and resetting. System says no satellite system error message but sky have said there are no reported errors locally due to rain. We are unable to record or watch anything?

Evening @Dionne76
Please can you ensure that the 2 satellite F connectors are tight in the back of the Q box also that the dish hasn't been moved or knocked out of alignment. If it has shifted, it may no longer be pointing directly at the satellite which would require a Sky Engineer to reallign (Wind can take the dish out of alignment if the bolts haven't been tightened up sufficiently.)

Whenever a “no satellite signal” message is displayed firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Also check out the troubleshooting on this link

It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish.
A misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels. If you’re on a communal dish you may initially need to liaise with your landlord or building management company.
