New sky box

I've just set up a replacement sky Q box and all is working fine but I've lost all recordings and scheduled recordings? Also all the Apps have disappeared from the menu (Prime, Netflix, Paramount etc) Any clues as to why please?

Hi @SimonRed5   Your recordings and settings were stored on the hard drive of your old box, so you have lost them. Is your new box up to date with the latest software release? Q330/Q340.

hi @SimonRed5 

 

Nothing is cloudbased - all such recordings and schedules are held locally on the box, thus, as you have found, you have lost these - although you should be able to download any purchased content.

 

Regarding the apps :

Chances are that the software & apps are not fully up to date :

To check & refresh if needed follow all the steps on this link (skipping any that are OK):
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/apps-on-sky-q-and-glass-basic-checks

Please note that the step to refresh apps often does not action immediately and may take several hours before it does
