New series section - showing not new series

I'm not sure if this is more widespread than my observation, but I've noticed that the new series section is informing me of a series that has already been shown.  Specifically 'Extinct or Alive.'  It's showing as a new series in the section, but it's advising that series 2 is about to come on.   Series 2 has already been shown.  This leads me to have doubts about the other shows in the section.  Is this an error just for this show or should i be treating the section with suspicion?
