Hi, I received a new sky Q remote as mine stopped working even after new batteries. The new remote paired fine but then when the tv was turned off the remote stopped working again. It will pair fine but as soon as your turn off the tv, it seems to completely stop working. Is this a Sky Q box problem or is it my tv?

Hi @S_S1 Can you clarify that the Sky Q remote controls the Sky Q box, change channels etc. Holding down the Sky Q remote power button for about 1-2 seconds should toggle the TV standby (led should blink once to show that the signal has been sent).
Hi, the old remote simply stopped working therefore I replaced batteries, worked fine until tv turned off via the remote. Failed to work when tried to turn back on. Ordered replacement remote and exactly the same issue happened. Set up and box seem fine it just doesn't seem to keep working when the tv is turned off via remote and turned back on. It is a very old Alba tv so wondering if this is the problem?
